ORIGINAL POSTER
If my DTV visa is approved in Hanoi on the upcoming 2 weeks, do I have to enter in Thailand in the following 90 day since it is approved?

I plan to get the DTV now in Hanoi but enter Thailand in May/June. Is that possible?

Thank you!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the necessity to enter Thailand within 90 days of approval for their DTV visa, which they plan to obtain in Hanoi but not use until May or June. Comments clarify that while it's recommended to apply no more than three months before travel, there is no strict obligation to enter Thailand immediately upon visa approval, as the DTV visa is valid for up to 5 years from the issue date.

It is specified that one applies not more than 3 months before the date of travel but once visa is issued, there is no such obligation to travel with in a stipulated time frame. Visa will be valid for 5 years from the date of issue and you can travel with in that period.
