I received a DTV visa earlier this year (in May), but due to personal circumstances I had to cancel my trip. I'm now planning to travel in October instead.
Does anyone know if there's a requirement to “activate” the visa within a certain time frame after it’s been issued? Or is it simply valid from the date of issue, meaning I can still travel later and I’ve just lost the months in between?
Thanks in advance for any advice or experience you can share!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The DTV visa is valid for five years from the date of issuance, and there is no requirement to activate it within a specific time frame. You can travel at any time before the visa expires without needing to activate it first.
