TLDR : Answer Summary
There is no official time limit for entering Thailand after obtaining a DTV visa. The visa becomes active upon entry and remains valid for its designated period. Individuals can enter up to 5 years after the issue date without any penalty. For instance, if the visa is issued on February 15, 2026, one must enter before February 14, 2031. Reports show that entering a few months later than the issue date is acceptable.

You can enter on your 4th year's 364th day and will still receive a 6 months stamp. There no official requirement on when to visit must.

Day of issue is day 1 of the 5 years validity of the visa.

F.E, if issued 15 Feb 2026, enter before 14 Feb 2031.

Nothing it's your visa it just activates when you enter. I'd say go sooner rather than later to avoid questions but a visa is a visa it's valid for as long as it's valid. It's your own time you're wasting
