TLDR : Answer Summary
Securing a visa for your Thai girlfriend to travel to the US within just three months is highly unlikely. Many commenters highlight that strong ties to Thailand, such as financial stability, employment, and education, greatly influence visa approval chances. Tourist visas (B2) can be difficult to obtain, with reports indicating a high denial rate, particularly for those with potential immigration motives, such as a relationship with a US citizen. Options like the K1 fiancé visa exist but involve longer processing times and unique challenges. Overall, the consensus leans towards caution and preparation for potential delays and rigorous requirements.

Current appointment dates are in July and later. My girlfriend is on her 2nd attempt. She owns property, a house, has a good government job and money in the bank. She was denied out of hand the first time. The guy didn’t even look at her documents.
for real...if you bring her to the US she will eventually become almost as bad as American women

Not easy for Thai people to get holiday visa, you have to make fiance visa, or marry visa for her,

It is very hard. The older and uglier she is, the easier it gets.

Well, my friend is Married to a Thai woman and have three kids together. They have no criminal record and lots of money - they couldn't get the wife there. I know a doctor in USA who tried to bring his wife over - they said no...good luck bro

The waiting time for US visitor interview is over 10 months long. That's IF she's accepted.

Why the hell would you want to do that? You know she wants a green card and you supporting all her financial needs. Good luck. Too much work.

I got my then GF a USA tourist visa a few years back but we did all the work to make sure . Decent amount in her own account .. invite from friend in USA . Leave approved from her work . Flights and accomodation bookings … even with all that the officer initially refused but my mrs talked her way around it …. I believe most are denied .. it was by far the hardest visa she ever got
If she's an educated professional (with a high enough salary that she's unlikely to become an economic migrant) and more than enough money in the bank to pay for a big shopping holiday in NYC/LA (and her travel plans are along those lines), 90%. If not, 1%.

No problem just pay many dollars lol 😆

My Thai Mrs was offered a job working in a Thai restaurant owned by her Aunt in Amarillo. She sold her car to pay for the visa application. Guess what?
But lots of weird going on, literally offering a job such as a restaurant job IS a red flag for overstaying a B2 'tourist' visa. Your wife would've needed to apply first through a marriage visa, go through the process of getting a green card, and only then would she be allowed to work.
Employment visas are WAY more complex and lengthy and require for the company to show they've tried to find help in country first.
Thanks for that Rogerio! I guess she just filled out the form as best she could and threw her money away. I told her a Visa Agent probably could've helped. I was told that USA have a quota system and once the limit is exceeded no one is getting in. Of course, they continue to accept Visa applications pocketing the fees although they're going to refuse all applications.
I do not think they have a quota. As per a link I shared above in a separate comment, the approval ratio for Thais for 2020 (as per Dept of State own statistics) is 75%.
Since mid last year I've been helping Thai people find interview dates and just generally being immersed in the whole US visa space (but NOT a visa agency, ...yet) there's a lot of stuff people do wrong.
I'll have to ask her that! Don't know how much the car was worth, hopefully she had some left over? Incidentally, sister-in-law applied for a work visa to Australia and was also turned down. Knowing what goes on in the 'English-speaking Countries' I consider they've a nerve refusing Thai's. They're the least of their worries.
Figure out how to get her to Mexico and bring her across illegally, it's the best and fastest way to immigrate to the USA. Our country doesn't have time for responsible law abiding southeast Asians who DON'T need free everything when they get here because typically those type of people have conservative values and vote Republican.
no, they would put her on a plane in the middle of the night and drop her at the destination of her choice pending an immigration hearing.

If you're an MS13 gang member carrying a bunch of fentanyl you can literally walk across the Texas border due to the screwed up immigration policies in the Biden administration. However if you're a beautiful Thai woman in her twenties ready to give an honest hard working man in his 40s or 50s the perfect home life and family that he has always dreamed of, forget it. The current administration doesn't give a rat's ass about happily ever afters. LGB.

Expect a "no" (unless you're getting a fiancé visa)

If this is the first time you will not get her a visa to the US in less than 9 months, with over a year being average, even if you are married, and even then there is no guarantee it will be approved.

David Broadfoot If "reports of people" beats a "report of a person" right now talking to you, with a real-time screenshot of the actual visa scheduling website, I gotta question your reasoning skills, mind me.
Rogerio ******
David Broadfoot Considering my work IS around helping people book US B2 tourist interview dates with the embassy, maybe I have more updated info 🙂
you are aware the the applicant has to pass all the background checks first, including the department of homeland security. There is no scheduling anything until that is complete, and it is a slow process.
from what I understand if a Thai lady is applying for a tourist visa and there is any indication a boyfriend/husband is involved they will almost automatically say no....kinda the same as Thailand right? Tourist visas are for tourists.... tourists should have ample funds in their own name to support their trip and strong ties at home to make sure they return....any hint of a man involved they will know this is not the case
I was being facetious. I think they’re more worried about couples going to get married without the fiancé visa and its higher fees that they wouldn’t get.
see I don’t get that, she is married to you what is it of their concern if she stays in the states or goes back home as u two are married…I guess it is all about the proper paperwork/visa
I completely agree. What makes no sense to me is that I can apply for and most likely get her a green card (eventually) giving her potential access to social security benefits as well as other programs that would cost the US government money but they wouldn't let me bring her home to meet my mom before she died and then her return to TL. SMH
For reference: When my wife did her interview for her fiancé visa she was pretty far down the line. She guessed 20 ladies went in before her. Most were for tourist visa 1-2 for fiancé. If I remember correctly all but one were denied.
Next to impossible if she doesn’t have all that Garrett outlined already.
Did you marry the fiancé? How difficult was the process to get teh fiance visa? I am considering marrying a Thai national. Part of the reason marriage appeals to me is that she could travel with me (I think).
Would you recommend USA fiance visa, marriage in USA, over marrying in Thailand and seek a wife visa.
If she is is the spouse of an America, will she be able to travel with me with the same privileges?
the fiancé visa application was really thorough as you would expect. But it will be no different than a marriage visa application. Lots of questions about her family, when did you meet, how, where, etc etc. You have to show photos of you together. Call logs, chat logs. Basically you are proving you truly know each other. I showed multiple itineraries from trips to Thailand.
Once approved we went to Hawaii where I was living and got married literally the next day. Then we could apply for her green card. That also only took 4 months.
According to the lawyer I used it was considerably easier to do it as a fiancé than if we got married in Thailand and applied that way. So I would recommend a fiancé visa based on that.
As far as her traveling with you it certainly makes it easier for her to obtain visas as the souse of an American than as a single Thai lady. But she’ll still fall under the rules of a Thai until she gets that blue passport.
One good thing is when entering the states from abroad they don’t separate you. They literally said “we don’t separate families. So even if your wife is not a citizen you go to the American citizens line.”
did my wife's in 2012 and very quick. Showed her reasona to return such as job , joint US and Thai Banks Accounts several years old, land, her professional degree, and my ties to Thailand which reflected we had no desire to remain in in the US.
if they find out a foreign national has a significant other in the USA, the tourist visa is usually denied because they know the odds are good they will get married and circumvent their f*cked up and slow bureaucracy. Besides, he wasn't asking about a tourist visa
even if they find out she is just his gf they'll still likely turn the tourist visa down. If they were to marry in the US afterwards it would be fraud. It's jacked up and I hate them for making the system take so long but it is what it is.

Or get her into Mexico and cross the border illegally. Get married snd then apply for a green card. Catch 22. It takes a year and she cannot leave. I did it with my second wife.
