Hi guys. I heard that if you are applying for one-year extension based on marriage or retirement, you can apply up to 45 days before your current renewal expiry date. Can anyone confirm this? I normally apply about two weeks before but would certainly do it sooner if I could.

TLDR : Answer Summary
You can typically apply for a one-year visa extension based on marriage or retirement up to 30 days before your current visa expires, but some immigration offices may allow you to apply 45 days in advance. The policies can vary depending on the specific immigration office, so it's advisable to check with your local office for their specific rules.

Best to ask your local immigration office, as it varies from office to office.

At most immigration you can apply 30 days before expiry date. Some accept 45 days before, and if you tell where you stay maybe someone can give you an exact answer.
