Hi Guys I’m here on a tourist visa and my stay is expiring 14 May. My question is how soon before the end of the stay can I apply for an extension. I want to secure my time here and try to avoid the rush post 30 April. Thank you in advance for your advice.

TLDR : Answer Summary
You can typically apply for a tourist visa extension at an immigration office when you have 30 days or less remaining on your current visa stamp. However, the rules may vary by immigration office, with some allowing applications only in the last week before expiration.

Depends on the immigration office you use. Most allow you to get an extension when you have 30 days or less left on your current stamp BUT some only let you do it the last week of your stamp.
