Hi, my partner Kay and I arrived June 21 on 60 day tourist visa TR. At what point can we apply for the 30 day extension and do we use form TM7?

Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
You can typically apply for a 30-day extension on your 60-day tourist visa (TR) when you have 30 days remaining. In some larger offices like those in Bangkok, Phuket, and Chiang Mai, you may apply as early as 45 days before expiration. However, experiences vary by location; for example, Pattaya may require you to apply only the day before your visa expires.

Pattaya sent me away and told me come back day before expired. They have also extend early in the past so I consider Pattaya a crap-shoot. Probably doesn't help I had extensive visa history.

Almost every office allows you to apply for an extension when you have 30 days left.

Some larger ones like Bangkok, Phuket, Chiang Mai allow when you have 45.

TM7 along with other things.
