Hi guys,

Can you help with some clarification please ?

I applyed for a tourist visa (single entry) online and it was approved

All good - now my question is about the email with the visa that i received - start and end date is the date that i received the email and is confusing me a little bit..

It should be 3 months visa ,right ? I should ignore that ? Also visa starts from when i land or from when was approved online ?

PS.: i plan to travel to Thailand in December

Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster applied for a tourist visa for Thailand and noticed that the start and end dates on the approval email are incorrect, showing the date they received the email instead of the visa's validity period. Various comments suggest that this may be a mistake, especially since the UK's passport holders can get a 60-day visa-exempt entry. Others emphasize the importance of contacting the embassy to rectify the date issue before traveling in December. Some commenters also mention that the poster might not need a visa at all as Romania, their home country, has a 60-day visa exemption.

We saw this another time on the same date from the same place of issue for a DTV today.

Make sure to report this to them it is a big mistake.

I don't understand why visa exempt countries apply online. Get your ticket and just fly in no visa required for 60 days and you can apply for 30 day extension. Like how long has this been around now and these muppets keep stuffing up

I'm pretty sure the OP lives on the UK but he has a passport neither from the UK nor any other visa exempt elegible countries, and that's why he applied for the visa.

You don’t need to apply for any tourist visa as you can easily and straight forward get it as soon as arrive into the country….

Are you entering Thailand on the 26th? If so, no problem. If your entering after that, you definitely need to get it corrected. That aside, once you enter you'll get a 60 day stamp, and inside Thailand you can extend it and get 30 more days.

Why would you need to get it fixed ? . What's the point ? It still has date of issue so if you can't work out 3 months from that date you shouldn't be traveling

because it's an official document and it says it expires the same day it is issued. It doesn't matter how you think it should work. The date on the official document says it's already expired.

Definitely looks like the dates are wrong. If you hold a uk passport you can get 60 day visa exempt entry into Thailand and can extend for 30 days if you desire upto 90 days. So although there is an error in your visa you may not need one

This is definitely a mistake. You need to contact the embassy as soon as possible Monday and ask them to correct it and send you an updated visa. Almost 100% chance you have issues if you try entering Thailand with this
