Hi guys!

We're travelling to Thailand in November.

We've decided to stay there for longer than two weeks and travel. Our return flight is dated for 26/11...

I'm applying for tourist visa now, but I've not changed the return flight dates. Does the date of return ticket matter? I'm not sure whether to leave it as it is, or simply buy ticket to Laos. Already lost some money, but I'd prefer to have peace of mind especially with tourist visa.

Thank you!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is traveling to Thailand in November and is concerned about their return flight date as they plan to stay longer than two weeks. They are applying for a tourist visa but are uncertain if they should change their return flight to reflect a longer stay. Community comments suggest that many nationalities now receive a 60-day entry stamp without the need for a tourist visa, questioning the necessity of applying for one.

You most likely get stamped in now for 60 days not 30 as it was before ! so why get a tourist visa ?

thank you very much for your help Michael! I have read a bit too much about it and had no idea what to do. Grateful for all the responses and help!

What’s your nationality? For many there is literally no point in applying for a tourist visa as visa exempt is 60 days now.

Oh dear, thank you! I remember putting 90 days instead of 60 when checking if I need to apply 🤦🏻‍♀️ I'm so stressed with it I completely missed it, thank you!!

Poland is on the exemption list so no visa needed.

60 days on arrival and 30 day extension.
