Hello all. I have read a few times now on posts here that people have applied for a 60 day visa but they applied too early and the dates didn’t coincide with those that they had booked.
My mother has a UK passport (lives in UK) she is departing on 9th Dec when is it the right/correct time to apply for this visa? I would have thought that the application would have the dates of entry etc but obviously not if people are getting the visa back with dates that are too early.
I received some very helpful tips from someone from this group in the past regarding her stay as she will be there for a few months. I am just concerned re the 60 day visa application arriving with a date that’s far too early.
Many thanks in advance.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual inquired about the appropriate timing to apply for a 60-day visa for their mother, a UK passport holder. They expressed concern about potential mismatches between visa issuance dates and travel dates. Community members recommended checking the Thai embassy's website for specific guidelines, noting that visas do not have specific travel dates listed. A Single Entry Visa is valid for 90 days from the date of issuance, while a Multiple Entry Visa lasts for 365 days.
