TLDR : Answer Summary
The user mistakenly received a 30-day visa-exempt entry stamp instead of the correct entry that allows them to stay until December 24, 2023, under a yearly extension with a re-entry permit. Community advice suggests checking stamps immediately after entry to avoid issues. The user should visit the airport immigration office where they were stamped incorrectly, as it is the quickest way to resolve the issue. Alternatively, they can go to the local immigration office.
UPDATE; Just to let everyone know Julian was NOT on any one year multi-entry visa, ๐ฎ
They were on a yearly extension with a re-entry permit that was valid until Dec 24, 2023. When they stamped in the officer didn't notice it and stamped them in on a เธ.30 visa exempt entry. They didn't check their stamp when they walked away from passport control either ๐
They went to the main immigration office in Chiang Mai but they sent him to CNX the airport he was stamped in wrong at (luckily for him it is right by the immigration office) and they corrected the stamp to show he's allowed to be here until Dec 24th 2023..
Lesson to everyone; CHECK YOUR STAMP when you get stamped in BEFORE you walk away from passport control..
