Hello!

I currently have a Thai wife visa and work permit expiring in April 2023 and Sep 2022 respectively.

As I will be overseas in September and would not be back in time for work permit renewal. 

How do I go about renewing my work permit?

Go to the Ministry of Labor to apply for 1 more year or ask what and how to do before you travel abroad.

I guess you have an Extension of Stay based on being married to a Thai National, be aware you need re-entry permit to keep this stay alive while travel abroad
