Hello!

I currently have a Thai wife visa and work permit expiring in April 2023 and Sep 2022 respectively.

As I will be overseas in September and would not be back in time for work permit renewal.

How do I go about renewing my work permit?

Thanks in advance!

Answer summary

The user inquires about renewing their expiring Thai work permit while they will be overseas. They mention holding a Thai wife visa and that their work permit is set to expire in September 2022, before their return to Thailand. A comment suggests visiting the Ministry of Labor for renewal and emphasizes the necessity of obtaining a re-entry permit to maintain their visa status during their time abroad.

Go to the Ministry of Labor to apply for 1 more year or ask what and how to do before you travel abroad.

I guess you have an Extension of Stay based on being married to a Thai National, be aware you need re-entry permit to keep this stay alive while travel abroad
