TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the possibility of leaving Thailand at the Ban Phu Nam Ron border crossing to obtain a 30-day stamp, as their Non-O visa extension is about to expire. Discussion in the comments addresses various aspects of visa extensions, necessary documents for the border crossing, and the possibility of obtaining another extension while holding an existing one.

Had a stressfull time on Friday...I forgot that I had one, 60 day extension 5 years ago. Waited 2 hours with my son to be told no... so 2 hours there in the morning, 2 hour wait and an hour back home...Dropped the boy off and drove to Kanchanaburi.
Stayed the night and drove to the border in the morning...got a 30 day stamp and then drove another 234km home...lol.
your passport, birth certificate with your name on it, thai house book listing of the child, thai i/d of the mother, filled out TM.7 application, passport photo, the child (obviously) and the mother if she can go. Those things and 1900baht should get you the extension
Also take your court papers showing you have parental rights (not really needed but can't hurt).
yep, you can indeed get a 60 day "visit thai family" extension on an existing extension :O It's 1900baht at the immigration office (the same price as all extensions here ;) )

Ban Phu Nam Ron border will NOT let you out of Thailand unless they can let you back in. If they can not let you back in, they will not let you cross. I'd try, and if they won't let you cross, then you have your answer.

Nowhere in the region does the multiple entry without being married...I suopose taking care of a Thai kid doesn't matter...
Thanks...I didn't know...I checked many local consulates' websites...I didn't see that listed.

actually you are NOT correct :O The thai consulate in Penang will issue a year-long, multi-entry Non-O visa based on being the father of a half-thai child with just your name on the birth certificate (no need to have been granted parental rights) and proof of 400K baht or the equivalent in a bank account.

If I have the UK passport correct, at least a 50% score, than still no problem.

Just by guessing that you have an Extension of Stay based on being married with a Thai National (you don't look older than 50 years of age in this picture) and guessing that you have a UK passport, yes it is possible. If I guess wrong, sorry for the incorrect information.
