hi good afternoon,

immigration officer ask me to come back on 6th jan to ink for 1 year of extension of stay for " marriage visa " and i fly to bkk on 5th jan and go to cheng wattena immigration office on 6th jan and they ink the 1 year of stay until 29 dec 2026.

my passport when arrive at bkk they stamp non-re entry from the date of arrival is 5th jan 2026 to the date that i need to leave which is on 6th jan 2026 ( as i buy a single re-entry permit which is until 6th jan 2026 as i need to go back to immigration office to ink the 1 year stamp )

i leave bkk on 10th jan 2026 and the airport immigration officer stamp depature date which is 10th jan 2026.

am i overstay for 4 days ?

when i leave the depature passport control, the officer did not ask me to pay fine for overstay.

thanks everybody
Answer summary
The user is concerned about overstaying their visa after receiving a one-year extension for their marriage visa on January 6th, following initial entry on January 5th with a single re-entry permit valid until January 6th. They departed Thailand on January 10th, and although their entry stamp was valid only until January 6th, they received a full extension, which should suffice, especially since they purchased a new re-entry permit for their full extension.

Your re-entry permit was only valid until January 6th because that was when your "under consideration" stamp gave you permission to stay in Thailand until.

So when you entered with your re-entry permit, you were stamped in until January 6th.

You then went to the immigration office and received your full extension, which goes until December.

You were not on overstay when you left, you were on your extension of stay that goes until December.

I hope you purchased a new re-entry permit for your full extension, because your previous re-entry permit was only valid until January 6th. If you did not purchase a new re-entry permit, you lost your new extension when you left.
