Hello I am currently in the UK and my father died early this morning. I am due renew my Non-Immigration re-entery permit (extension of stay)
This has to be done by 2nd April.
Will immigration give me, extra compationate time, in which to fly back into Hua-Hin, for me and my husband to do the renewal. We can get them a copy of the death certificate. Funeral will be within 3 weeks maximum. We will try to get it done ASAP. Thank you hope someone can please advise me.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual is seeking guidance on whether they can receive extra time to return to Thailand for a visa renewal following the death of their father. However, responses indicate that immigration rules do not allow for flexibility in this situation, meaning they will need to start the visa process over if their extension expires while they are out of the country.

First sorry for your loss,
Sadly no they will not. ๐ There is no "way to buy time" for any reason if you're out of the country when your current extension expires ๐ You lose it. There isn't even a way to stamp you in on an expired extension stamp
You would have to buy a new 90 day Non-O visa from the thai consulate in the UK online thru the eVisa website and that way come in on a 90 day Non-O entry stamp, then 2 months later apply for the year extension for 1900baht
OR
You can come in free stamp entry and apply for the Non-O visa inside the country at your immigration office for 2000baht wait the 2 weeks under review period, get the Non-O visa and 90 day stamp inked in, then wait 2 months to apply for a year extension for 1900baht
BUT
Unfortunately any way you look at it, IF you're out of the country when your current extension expires you lose it and start over
Again sorry for your loss, wish I had better news as to how the process works for you
