I have a retirement visa. I have used a single entry return back into the Kingdom thinking I would only leave once but I do need to leave again. I know my single entry is used but it is still in date of duration. Can I obtain another single entry and return before my retirement visa needs extending/renewing? Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you can obtain another single entry re-entry permit even if you have already used one; there is no limit on how many you can get. However, it is worth considering a multiple re-entry permit instead if you plan to leave Thailand more than three times, as that may save space in your passport and be more cost-effective.

You can get as many single re-entry permits as you want. The downside is it takes a lot of space in your passport and if more than 3 single re-entry permits a multiple re-entry would have been cheaper.
I often take a multiple re-entry permit for the conveniance.
