TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about traveling to Belgium with an expiring non B visa and work permit. They will leave Thailand before the visa expires but are unsure how to handle the re-entry permit, as they do not know their return date. Comments suggest either obtaining a re-entry permit if they return before the visa expiry or letting the visa lapse if they will be back after it expires.

Looks to me you are in Thailand with an Extension of Stay you got from a local Immigration Office.

just make one up ;) they really don't care what dates are on there, just make sure it's NOT after the 24th of Jan 2018 :O because that's the date you're allowed to be here until.

Go to the immigration office and buy a single re-entry permit for 1000baht. It looks like this (except it won't be stamped USED until you fly out )

Ok and now my other question "do i have to fill in a returndate to come back on the re entry permit ?
Tod *********
That means IF you are going to leave the country but want to keep the Jan 24th stamp "alive" you NEED to buy a re-entry permit before you fly out.
Tod *********
Notice on the stamp above it where it says

The visa expired 2 years ago, forget about it
Tod *********
That is the ONLY date that matters

So the stamp of 24 jan is more important than date on visa ? Ok
Tod *********
forget the date on the 90 day report slip it has NOTHING to do with the length of time you can stay here at all.

you are allowed to stay here until the 24th of Jan 2018
Tod *********
BUY a single re-entry permit from the immigration office BEFORE you leave the country and when you come back you will be stamped in until the 24th of Jan 2018

Dietwin can I explain to you in Dutch by PM to make it more easy?
Tod *********
You used that when you came into the country the first time back in 2016. That visa expired 2 YEARS ago, notice the USED stamp on it?

@Tod ********
no i have single entry
Tod *********
that was the visa you used to get the yearly extension as you can see it was a single entry one and expired a LONG time ago.

You are on what is called a yearly extension of stay. Your extension expires on the 24th of Jan 2018

@Dietwin **********
(y) you have a yearly extension of stay that will expire on the 24 of Jan 2018. IF you're leaving the country you need to buy a re-entry permit so when you come back you will be stamped in until the 24th of Jan 2018

BTW: when you return you will NOT be stamped in for 90 more days, you'll be stamped in until the "extension of stay permitted up to" date on the extension stamp itself
Robert *******
The stamp with 20-10-2017, that's what we like to know. I think the text starts with Extension of stay is permitted up to 20-10-2017
Tod *********
When you got the extension at the immigration office did you buy a re-entry permit or not? It doesn't come with an extension you buy it separately. If you didn't you need one when you exit the country or your current extension will cancel.
Tod *********
Then you have a yearly extension of stay, and your stamp looks like the one in the bottom right of the image I posted

I have a one year visa because i have workpermit , i dont have to do visa runs or renew my extension of stay every 3 month and pay , i only have to go to immigration every 3 months for notification my adress
Tod *********
and the answer is?
Tod *********
Okay, now I'm confused :/

Do you have a valid VISA that you got from a thai consulate in your passport where you exit and enter the country every 90 days

OR

have you gone to the immigration office and got an extension of stay for 1900baht.

This is what visas (gotten both inside and outside the countr) look like and the bottom right is what an extension of stay looks like

What do you have?

the big question is seeing as your visa expires on the 20th of Oct, will you be back by then or not? if not, it won't make a difference if you get a re-entry permit or not because you're comin' back after the visa expires.

If you're comin' back before then, just buy a single re-entry permit at the airport before you fly out and you will get stamped back in until your expiration date
