TLDR : Answer Summary
Upon entering Thailand with a tourist visa that lasts for 30 days, you can start the process to change this to a Non-Immigrant O visa based on marriage as soon as you meet the requirements. It is recommended to apply when you have at least 15 days remaining on your current visa. The process may take about 60 days, and while you can apply the same day in Bangkok, it is advised to have at least 21 days left on your current visa for a smoother process. Documentation required includes proof of income or funds in a Thai bank account, a marriage certificate, and other supporting documents.

My guess is to go to the Thai embassy in your country & apply for a 3 month non immigration O visa based on marriage .

But as Robert lavas said, you need the necessary funds 'matured' in a thai bank account.

You can apply at an Immigration Office with more than 15 days left on your Admitted to Stay period, if you meet the requirements. It is not a marriage visa but a Non Immigrant O Visa based on marriage, you need 400.000 Thb for minimum 2 months on a Thai bank account on your name or a income certificate from your Embassy for at least 40.000 Thb a month. Next to that a marriage certificate, kor ror 2 (marriage is registered at local amphur), copy's of passport, copy id and housebook wife, map to your house, pictures in front of house with house number and inside house.

I usually fly to Thailand once a year to see my girlfriend, I have been doing this for seven years, this year we are getting married and I am stopping in Thailand. Every time I fly they give you a 30 day visa.

extremely doubtful for the whole process. it's complicated as much as it would be in your home country. Ask the admins for a concise list of things you need and in order to satisfy Thai immigration, so that they give you what you want.

It's not a visa but permission to stay 30 days.

That's a 30 day visa exempt stamp, not a visa :)

Visa exempt entry (for certain nationalities) is 30 days. Tourist visa is 60 days. Which one will you have?
