First 90 day report question: I just arrived in BKK, My tm30 is registered to my apartment in BKK. Can I do my 90 day report in person at Immigration in Chiang Mai? Or do I have to show up at immigration in BKK? I won’t be able to get an appointment In BKK before I go to Chiang Mai and i sure as hek don’t want to be there without an appointment. Can I do it in Chiang Mai? Or should I just take the 2k fine next time I have to file? Of course I want to respect all rules, but sometimes there are circumstances where you have to find a solution. Thank you. 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual is inquiring about the possibility of completing their 90-day report for immigration in Chiang Mai rather than Bangkok, given that their TM30 is registered in Bangkok. Comments suggest that filing the report at the location where the TM30 is registered is typically required, but can be done in Chiang Mai if the TM30 is updated to reflect the new accommodation there.

You file your report where your TM30 is registered. But if you've just arrived in Thailand you don't file until you've been in Thailand for 90 consecutive days. Also if you've just entered you need a fresh TM30. If you want to file in Chiang Mai you need to have a TM30 registered with that office
If your TM30 gets registered when you get to CM you should be able to do it there. All I have handed over at the window in CM is passport and TM30. Each time he puts TM30 to side and never looks at it. They scan your passport and all info they require is there. PS: it takes a few minutes in CM Airport Branch. Has a drive through if in a car or on a bike.
