Can I use our joint savings account to meet the financial requirements for a DTV soft power Muay Thai visa in Thailand?

Hello! I am wanting to apply for DTV soft power Muay Thai. Embassy will be Vientiane in person. I have some questions. I have been on leave without pay from my job for the last year after having a baby and living off my partners income so I have not had any income in my bank account coming in. However I meet the $$$ criteria based on our joint savings account having over 1 million thai baht. Will that be sufficient? What additional information if any should I provide?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The poster is inquiring about applying for a DTV soft power Muay Thai visa at the Vientiane embassy, specifically regarding the financial requirements. They have been on unpaid leave after having a baby and have no personal income, but their joint savings account exceeds 1 million THB. Comments indicate that some believe a personal account is necessary, while others note that the financial requirement is a minimum of 500k THB in capital. There is some confusion regarding the documentation of relationship status and its impact on financial criteria.

Read the visa-section or the Thai Embassy in your country, and scroll through past replies in the group, to gat a feeling about how things work.

You know way to little, to make a application.

By partner, do you mean your fully legal spouse? If not, I doubt the Embassy will acknowledge that income as yours, regardless of the two names being on the account.

Anonymous participant ‘spouse’ means married so your post is somewhat confusing

I believe it should be in your personal name only. One person account, not a joint account. Correct me if I'm wrong.

There is no income requirent. The financial requirent is 500k THB capital in the bank.
