What should I do if my Thai visa application was rejected due to my bank statement and Soft Power documents?
I’ve been to the embassy to try to get explanations. The officer after checking told me “my documents were not qualified”, but said they couldn’t say which document or more particular reason.
So I show the officer my documents, to ask opinion.
- Proof of locations :
OK (airport stamp + Airbnb booking)
- Bank statement:
officer said maybe my statement looks fake. Because there is not a lot of activity on it the past 6 months. Only 4 or 4 transaction In and Out. But this is my saving account. I don’t use it every day. On my daily account I never have 500k.
Also, I provided statement physically stamped by the bank + cover letter from the bank certify I have the fund.
What should I do in this case ?? Is this already happened to someone ? I guess it’s linked to many fake statement provided.

Re soft power we provide a brief curriculum and itinerary. We have a full curriculum drafted if they request, which we have only had once. The gym / school needs to provide as much information as possible to convince the embassy it's a well organized, accredited, professional institute who is registered for tax

The issue you mentioned about your bank statement doesn't sound like a very major concern by itself.
From our experience handling applicants, the embassies do look at the overall applicant's profile too, i.e. amount of money in bank, age, nationality, etc. There are many other factors which is hard to gather from your post alone.
From what you mentioned about the soft power document being flagged out too, I recommend requesting more documents from your gym. Along with submitting your bank account for daily use + your savings account (if they still have your case open).
For example, our school enrollment letter includes:
- Cover letter with applicant and program details
- Class itinerary
- Payment receipt
- School profile and pictures
- Company registration certificate
- Thai owner's ID
We have not had any issues with our school documents till date.

Way I read this is they had an issue with your softpower activity, you mention only "a letter", did you actually sign up with an accredited gym and did they supply you with all their documentation (should be about dozen pages). And was the course for minium of 6 months?
Really should be no issue with bank statement with that little activity, had simerlar, just 2 transactions per month, one in and one out, 6 months worth (even dropped below the 500k at one point).

And regarding bank account.movement or no movement is not the requirement l. It's ending balance of 500k thb over 3 to 6 months. You can have it in 2 accounts as long as you show a sum of the 2 in the same statement. . Too many people are guessing and sharing wrong info while the process is very straight forward and you should be able to get the dtv provided you give the right documents

I think the cover letter and stamp from the bank looks suspicious. Why would a bank do this for you ? Its totally fine to show little movements or no movements. The officers understand that most people have savings account and current. I would recommend to add a note if no activity and say you use another bank or account for income and expense

Canceled is usualy „input wrong data“ that for example doesnt line up with your biodata… what you described would be „Rejected“. if they wanted to see additional banking documents then they would have asked for it.
Apply again and check every single field multiple times and make sure it is 100% correct and same as in your passport.

While Vietnam doesn't really want to see 500k for 6 months, they do want to see account activity, to get an idea of your legitimate spending/income/financial habits. I'd have shown the idle 500k in the savings account, plus the activity in your daily account that hopefully has a substantial balance or continual topping up to account for spending or incoming income or what have you. You have provided zero details on your soft power activity, you haven't said what it was, who the provider was, how long the activity was, nor their success rate with DTV documentation.

it is not only for months, but for 5 years, or as long as you want to use the visa, but I see nowhere it needs to be an account you use daily, as long as you can access it immediately. Problem at the moment is too much people now only set up accounts just to get DTV visa, and of course that is not how authorities have meant this to be.Toni *******

its T plus 1-2days at the moment for me, bank in Finland and thailand. I have my funds here in bangkok bank, but if I for some reason would need to bring more, western union transfers are 1minute at the moment (i tested 2.6m when my friend here was complaining about wise having delays). And also could use credit card if dont want to transfer here firstLuit *****************

Different banks in different countries have different methode of using accounts. That makes it hard for embassies to make decisions.I think embassies like to see an account that is used regularly. Some banks use a different account numbers for savings, some use same account number but only put savings in a virtuele box. Normally a savings account can only be used to transfer money to your account and you cannot pay with it.Toni *******

The only purpose of the 500K as a requirement is to ensure that during your stay in Thailand you have enough money in case of calamities. It is meant to stay directly accesible during your whole period of stay. I see a lot of people here only consider it as something that has to be there at moment of application, but that does not make sense.Luit *****************

stocks and crypto is no cash money, so that that cannot be used is completely logical, but a savings account should not be a problem as long as it is directly accesible and not a deposit contract for a fixed time.

I got request for financial statement again highlighting (personal) account. Had some in a savings account and some on my.daily use.
