TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on changing their tourist visa to a Non-O visa while residing in Satun, Thailand. The discussion includes questions about the type of current tourist visa, and mentions that if the user is transitioning based on marriage to a Thai national, certain legal documents must be provided. It's noted that the current tourist visa type needs to be a Thai visa type to legally transfer to a Non-O.

Last year you were asking about something similar from memory? Did you have the traditional muslim marriage (but not recognized in Thailand)? If you want to live here in Thailand, then the marriage needs to satisfy the laws of Thailand (basically the same as any other country). Single/free to marry cert from your embassy, translated and authenticated by MFA, then take these documents along with your passport to the local amphur office. Of course this is assuming your wife is Thai national. If these criteria are met, then go to your local immigration office. They will give you a list of documents you need to submit for the non-O. You will need to currently hold a TV (another type of non-O or VOA, etc will not transfer legally).

IE = that is, (actually should have been i.e.), STV is Special Tourist Visa (avoid, unless you own a condo or something like that and just like to "winter" in thailand), VOA= Visa on Arrival, only travelers from some 19 countries buy this visa upon arrival, can't be extended.
