Quick question. Iโ€™m on 90 day Tourist visa. I can still extend for a 30 days as Iโ€™ve only been here 60. Do I need to apply for the remaining 30 days before I can apply for the Covid extension? I know the the cut off date at the moment is 25th of January, so

I want to try get Covid extension now before it expires. Any help would be appreciated?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post inquires about the process of extending a 90-day tourist visa by an additional 30 days and whether this needs to be done before applying for a Covid extension, especially considering the impending expiration date for the extension. Responses suggest being cautious of overstay and clarify that a tourist visa typically grants a 60-day stay upon entry, implying that the poster should first extend their stay to avoid complications.

If you've already been here 60 days get it extended as you're going into over-stay, not a good idea

I only got here on 2nd of December so I still have time I just wanted to know if it was impossible to do covid extension before I did regular extension.

Yes, but he says "Iโ€™ve only been here 60" so he's going into over-stay

(y) he definitely needs to LOOK at the arrival stamp he got when he stamped in to see what date it expires ๐Ÿ™‚

I think you need to LOOK at your entry stamp closely

While a single entry tourist visa is VALID for 90 days <- that means you have that long to enter the country but when you do get stamped in it's for 60 days like everyone on a tourist visa gets ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

That 30 day extension is not a given and it's not free either ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

You definitely need to go to the immigration office and apply for it for 1900baht.

Now whether they'll let you get a 60 day covid extension rather than the 30 day 'regular' extension you can get from that tourist visa entry is between you and the immigration officer you're in front of when you apply.

SOME offices/officers will do it but some will make you take the 30 day extension first.
