Hi Group Hoping someone can advise me.

I arrived on visa exemption and then got a 30 day extension at Bangkok immigration which brings me til the 29th April.I want to apply for the 60 day covid extension and am wondering when should I apply for this? Can I do it sooner than the 29th April or will this mean it would start before my 30 day extension runs out? Sorry if this is a stupid question but im not sure how this works.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The best time to apply for a 60-day COVID extension is close to the expiration of your current visa extension on April 29th. It's recommended to wait until just before your current extension expires, as the new extension typically starts on the day of application. Depending on the circumstances, the second COVID extension may begin the day after your current extension runs out.

said. Because you're changing "reasons" for your extension from one based on tourisim to one based on covid they'd probably start it the day you apply for it.

SO I'd say wait as close to the April 29th expiration date you have now.

In most cases in Bangkok, you would get your first 60days covid extension starting on the day of application. From the second extension or later (if you got a chance), it would be added, meaning starting the day after your current extension expires.
