Hi, I am coming to Thailand with a non- immigrant (B), I want to apply for my son and husband as (O). The online application asks for a reason, and I do not see because they are dependents? And when I say (O) other, it says not available at this time.

Does anyone have any advice. Thank you ๐Ÿ˜Š

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on applying for Non-O visas for their husband and son as dependents of their Non-B visa. They have encountered issues with the online application process and are looking for guidance on requirements and possible conditions for obtaining these visas.

If Thai embassy/consulate in your country doesn't issue Non-O dependant to a foreigner with a valid visa/extension currently, you cannot apply it before heading to Thailand..

Talk to your employer about:

- If they agree to support your family to get Non-O dependant visa. Because you need many documents from your employer to apply Non-O for your family

- if they can support your family's in-country Non-O process, in case (including checking with local immigration office if they allow it) -> if this goes yes, your family can enter on Single Entry Tourist Visa (I recommend SETV rather than visa-exempt entry which is also possible though)

If answers are No-s, you need to find another way for them.

And don't forget to tell to your employer to check if the local immigration office allows in-country non-O (dependant for a foreigner working in Thailand legally) process or not. and they would meet the requirement. This is the way you go in case you cannot apply for Non-O for your family in the US.

thank you my employer does support them. On the e visa application, I just donโ€™t see what to click on, as does not give dependent option. I am A US Citizen.

I think you need to contact the embassy to which you are going to submit actual documents, to see if you can apply for Non-O for them at the embassy without eVisa registration, or if there is any reason you can choose.
