Follow up from my previous poorly defined request for advice.
An American and his wife, both over 50 years of age, are presently in Thailand with Educational Visa’s that expire in November.
The objective is to get a Visa for the husband which allows his wife to remain or even re-enter Thailand as his dependent.
It appears the the husband could apply inside Thailand for a 90 day Non-Immigrant O Visa., transfer 800,000 Baht to a Thai bank account in his name only and before 90 days apply for a one years extension of stay.
What would then be the route/process necessary to have his wife attached to his visa as his dependent if this is possible.?
TLDR : Answer Summary
An American couple currently holds educational visas set to expire in November and seeks advice on securing a Non-Immigrant O Visa for the husband, with an aim for the wife to stay or re-enter Thailand as his dependent. The husband plans to apply for the 90-day Non-Immigrant O Visa inside Thailand by transferring 800,000 Baht to a Thai bank before subsequently applying for a one-year extension. They inquire about the process for attaching the wife to his visa as a dependent.
