Can my husband and I apply for a Non-B and Non-O visa simultaneously in Penang?

Hi ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿผ knowledgeable ones!

My husband will be applying for a Non B visa outside Thailand, most likely Penang.

I will go with him, and I am wondering if I can get a Non O (appropriate following visa to accompany him) at the same time from the embassy?

Or do I have to get a Tourist Visa, because maybe this can only be done in Thailand?

And lastly, has anyone applied for a Non B (and a Non O) via the Singapore online system? As weโ€™re considering that too.

Many thanks in advance. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about applying for a Non-B visa while accompanying their husband who is applying for the same visa in Penang. They specifically ask if they can obtain a Non-O visa at the same time, or if they should apply for a Tourist Visa instead. Responses confirm that both visas can be applied for simultaneously at a Thai consulate, provided all necessary documentation is in order.

Okay, as
@Robert ******
said, you CAN indeed both apply for 90 day single entry Non-Immigrant Type visas (the husband for a Non-B single entry and the spouse for a Non-O single entry) at the same time in Penang.

Have your husbands employer call Penang and ask the requirements as far as the letter from the company stating they have no problem with you getting a Non-O (trailing spouse) visa when your husband applies for a Non-B and what if anything needs to be done with the marriage certificate (if you're not married here in thailand).

Before we get the fist fight, YES, you both can apply at the same time for a visa at a Thai Consulate. Good luck

Yes I can be done together if he has all his papers Penang is easy....is all papers handed proper....

now the question is who is correct: Can a couple apply at the same time for a Non Immigrant B visa for one and for the Non Immigrant O visa as dependent on her partner?

@Reiner ********
- You could not be more wrong

Is this for being a Managing Director of a Thai Registered Company for which your husband is a Share Holder?

Possible. I will have to defer to others in the group

Then - maybe you can get a Single Entry 90 Non Imm B Visa. Which with the proper extensive documentation from your husband's employer - you can at Thai Immigration apply for a One Year Extension of Stay. Once the Extension is granted you can apply for the follow on Extension of Stay based on an O Visa.
