Heres my situation, needing the best way to attain visas for my family members. We came in with tourist/coe's.
I am a teacher on Samui at an international school. My school is taking care of my extension and Non B visa after that. My daughter attends the school. She is 4. She can get an ed visa after paying the fees. I was told that we need to leave the country to get these visas because we are tourists. Is this true?
Then, would it make more sense for my husband to get a non-o visa by going on her education visa or should he piggy back off me? I heard that there is a 3 month fee then a year fee after to do this, as well as showing that he has
500,000 baht in savings. This seems like a lot of money so I'm not sure if it is accurate.
I assume my twins who are 1 will be under my visa?
If anyone has any tips or advice, please let me know. I plan to go to immigration this week to do our covid extension, I just don't know what is the best route to take after that.
Thank you!!
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on transitioning their family's visas after entering Thailand on tourist visas. They are currently working at an international school, which is handling their Non-B visa extension. The user's daughter, who is attending the same school, can apply for an education visa. Concerns include whether they need to leave Thailand to obtain these visas, the financial requirements for the husband’s Non-O visa, and the assumption that their twins may fall under the user's visa. Responses indicate that the family can secure necessary visas without leaving the country and provide options for applying based on family status.
