TLDR : Answer Summary
The poster expresses frustration over a Thai visa application that has been pending document check for 10 working days. Users inquire about the specific embassy involved, with multiple comments highlighting that some embassies, like the Paris embassy, can take 3-4 weeks for processing due to high application volumes. Others share their experiences and suggest checking the embassy's website for processing times while reassuring that pending status does not necessarily indicate rejection.

Yeah, first document requests were fast, then a 10 day wait and another request. You can always mail them. Look on the Embassy website. My application is in Madrid btw.

how about saying WHAT embassy/consulate you applied at?

Have you checked the Thai Embassy website, visa section about normal processingtime.

If a departuretime is mentioned in the application, some embassies will aim to process the application very close to that date.

Pending document check means they haven't even opened it. No surprise as the number or applications is overwhelming. Once they check your documents, they'll either ask for more, approve as such or reject. As long as they haven't even been able to open it, it doesn't mean you're getting rejected.

That is the time frame they give, the threads show several complaints about the service in Paris.
