TLDR : Answer Summary
The consensus among commenters is that while it's generally advisable to show your 60-day TR visa upon arrival in Thailand, it's not strictly required. However, not showing it could result in being stamped in for just 30 days under visa exemption instead of the full 60 days. It's suggested to keep your visa documentation handy to avoid complications, as there have been cases of incorrect stamping by immigration officers.
If not showing the tourist visa, you may end up on 30 days visa excempt, and have using time and money to get the tourist visa it would be a bad decision.
And the tourist visa can not be activated inside Thailand so you to travel outside Thailand again to activate the tourist visa.
Thankyou for all the help🙏. Much appreciated. For those who choose to just take the mick I would like you to remember the first time you came to Thailand using an extended visa. Or perhaps you are just much cleverer than this newbie.
This very FB group has had comments from people who got stamped in with the wrong number of days, usually less. Note that the IOs go thru *hundreds* of arrivals daily, and it is reasonable to expect for them to miss here and there, and they are never wrong. CYA is very cheap. Good luck.
You don't HAVE to, but if you don't then you won't be getting stamped in for 60 days using the visa. You'll only get stamped in for 30 days on visa exemption.
because it’s stupid and childish should be in their computer when I apply for a visa to travel to Australia it comes up in the system I don’t show anything.
