Hello lovely people! I just arrived on my 90 day Non-O retirement. Do I need to report to the immigration at this time and/or fill out a form or is that only when I apply for an extension? Also, does my landlord need to till put the TM 30 now? Thanks a bunch!
Answer summary
After arriving on a 90-day Non-O retirement visa, you are not required to report to immigration immediately or fill out a form. The 90-day reporting rule applies only after you have been in the country for 90 consecutive days. However, your landlord must file the TM30 form within 24 hours of your arrival to document your residency. This is critical for certain procedures, such as opening a bank account and applying for an extension of your visa.

Yes you need a TM-30 to open a bank account and a Thai phone number - True is offering 1 year service for 2700 baht

Your landlord should do your TM30 and you need to get proof of residency from immigration to open a bank account which really needs to be done quickly and transfer your funds.

Remember your money needs to be in your Thai bank account for 60 days before you can apply for your 1 year extension.

Don't get caught out on that rule.

Landlord has to submit the TM30 within 24 hours of your arrival.

If they do not, then complications start to mount. Without landlord submitting your TM30 (and give you a print copy) other way is to take the landlord to the Immigration office with their Blue book and their ID, some papers to be signed by the landlord.

If you will be staying at a condo complex, some condos (Jurisdiction person) can submit the TM30 for you. That is for mansions where condos are rented all year round and no need for owner direct involvement.

As you are on Non O retirement visa, I assume you will need services from Immigration, so you have to have the TM30.

If you need to open a bank account to get an extension of 1 year after the 90 days are up you will have to go to IO

TM30 required. A visit to immigration is not essential but can be useful to see their particular requirements for obtaining your 12 months extension.

The 90 day report I'd only for 90 consecutive days in the country. It won't be necessary for you. IF you extend then it starts to count up. .👍
