Do I need to report my residence to immigration within 24 hours after entering Thailand on a new DTV visa?

I would appreciate the knowledge & experience in this group.

My question is about the 90 day reporting (TM30) after you enter Thailand on a new DTV visa.

Previously if we re enter we would report our residence at immigration.

But when we enter Thailand for the first time on a new DTV visa, we have also completed a TDAC, which has our address in it.

Do we also need to go to immigration within 24 hours?

Thank you in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
The initial inquiry concerns the necessity of TM30 reporting for expats entering Thailand on a new DTV visa. It clarifies that upon first entry, the completed TDAC is not a substitute for the TM30, which must still be filed by the landlord or hotel within 24 hours of arrival. While the comments shed light on the distinction between TM30 and the 90-day reporting (TM47), and current requirements for international travelers, the key takeaway is that TM30 reporting remains a mandatory process regardless of previous documentation submitted.

Tm30 and 90 days reporting are different:

Every place you stay is required to file a TM30 which is reporting you residing at said location, if you leave the country and come back to that location they are required to file the TM30, 99% of the time in most immigration jurisdictions, if you leave the country and return to a new residence a TM30 needs to be filed. A TM30 is required before you can receive any services whatsoever at your local immigration office. Nothing substitutes the filing of the TM30.

After you enter Thailand the TDAC means nothing, and has nothing to do with anything in the future.

Your landlord or hotel has to register you within 24 hours of you residing within the domicile on the TM30

For the 90 day report it’s the TM47

For the 90 day report on your initial you can either go In person or send in via snail mail

On the second 90 day submission which can be completed 2 weeks early you can do it online

What is initial

Initial is initial

Initial is also anytime you return from an international trip…

After an international trip everything starts over again your landlord/hotel has to register you within 24 hours of residing within the domicile…if in bkk they allow you to do short in country trips which don’t require tm47 updates (renters only hotels will do it automatically every-time)…if not in bkk check the standards of your immigration office

Good luck

Yes. TM30 still required

You are talking about TM30 and not 90 Day Reporting which is TM47. The landlord or responsible person for your accommodation should report the TM30 within 24 hours of arrival at that accommodation. If a hotel then they do it. If private accommodation then the landlord or their agent should do it. The TM30 is still required on top of the TDAC.
