Do I need to re-apply for my Muay Thai DTV in the same city after my application was cancelled?
Kind Advice Requested...
I applied for my Muay Thai DTV in Hanoi. My application was canceled, saying that I didn't have enough months left in my passport.
So we hoofed it over to the Embassy and filed for new passports.
I just got word that our new passports are arriving early next week, so I have to re-apply. Do I re-apply at Hanoi, or do I have to switch to HCMC? You switch cities if you get a rejection, right? But for a cancelation, you can re-apply at the same location?
Please let me know if you have actual experience with this.
No annoying gripes or jabs, thanks.

Answer summary
The user seeks guidance on re-applying for their Muay Thai DTV visa after their initial application was canceled due to insufficient validity in their passport. With new passports on the way, they inquire if they can re-apply at the same Embassy in Hanoi or need to switch to Ho Chi Minh City. Community responses clarify that re-applying at the same Embassy is acceptable in cases of cancellation and provide additional advice concerning visa duration and presenting both old and new passports.

Be aware that you're Vietnam entry Visa is likely in your old passport and Vietnam's pretty stickly for seeing all the pages of your passport so I suggest you show all the pages of your old passport and at least the first few pages of your new passport which your application will be done under. Suggest a brief cover letter explaining the passport situation.

Make sure you have enough time left on your Vietnam visa. Many others have highlighted that their Vietnam tourist visa expires and they were still waiting for the DTV

You can apply at the same Embassy if you wish. No rule about having to apply elsewhere upon rejection or cancellation.
