Hello, I need some help

I have already paid for the Muay Thai course, but I’m still waiting for the proof of confirmation to attend the activity.

It’s been two weeks now, and I haven’t received the document yet. I’ll be traveling with my girlfriend on November 15.

Could you please let me know what format the confirmation document from the Muay Thai gym usually comes in?

And is it possible to obtain the DTV in time before November 15?

TLDR : Answer Summary

The conversation includes inquiries about the expected format for the confirmation document, sharing of experiences regarding documentation timelines, and urgency in contacting the gym for updates. STAY in the country where you have applied for the DTV visa until the decision is known. Period 🩸

What gym is it ? Is it a well known one ?

Does that gym have a history of successful DTV approvals and at which embassies?

The MFA expects the gym to have the correct certification, registrations, and licences with governing bodies in the sports ministry and Muay Thai.

Theoretical it still is possible with 13 working days, but it also might be too late, so you might reconsider your flight date.

Which embassy are you applying via?

My gym gave me all the documents within half a day and when the embassy asked for extra documentation, the boss provided it immediately besides of keeping in touch with the embassy to keep the process smooth. The time is really tight, embassies suggest to apply a month prior because the process could be delayed by the request of extra documents or an interview. I'd try to mail or call the embassy and check with them whether there's enough time or not.

Contact the gym and ask what's going on. It shouldn't take 2 weeks to get your documentation.

That gym has some shoddy reviews, too, so hopefully they just made a clerical error and not something worse.

My confirmation docs amounted to about 30 pages. Letter of course, business certificate of gym, passport pages, national ID of owners, class schedule, pictures of the gym, proof of muay thai accreditation...
