What are the chances of needing more documents or an interview after being on pending approval for my visa application?
Hello group,
(HANOI) What are the chances that after being on "pending approval" for over a week, and after they already requested a higher quality picture of my passport, they ask me for more documents or an interview?
I'm flying out of Vietnam on Monday (not to Thailand) and I'm afraid they will ask for an interview or something extra. Should I maybe send an email to check why is it taking so long?

Do not pay any attention to those status messages, it tells absolutely nothing about where the application is in the process, since they can change both ways.
Do not leave Hanoi if you don’t want to loose 10.000 Baht by being rejected.
You have to stay in the juristiction of the Embassy until approved.

No harm in sending an email to check but you should stay where you are until the process completes. They claim 5 working days processing time but some embassies reset the clock when you supply additional information

I applied early this month from hcmc. They asked for extra documents twice. Banking then income proof. Took 10 business days. No interview though
