TLDR : Answer Summary
To add dependents to your new DTV in Thailand, each dependent must submit a separate visa application, including their own qualifications and proof of funds. You can include your DTV as their reason for application but must also provide proof of family relationship and financial evidence of 500K THB for each dependent.

You go through the same process that you went through, but this time, you also include proof that you are their family member and proof that you have a DTV visa. You will need evidence of 500K for each individual family member.

trying to understand for myself as well. So for my 6 year old son, do I need to have an account in his name with 500k in it? Or having my own account and needing to show arleast 100k? Or does showing just my account with the original 500k that approved my dtv?

My understanding is that (again, not the expert), you would need to show an account, probably in your name, since your son is a minor, that has 1,000,000 baht.

I required my own account in my name with the 500k but my children under 18 did not,

Each person needs their own application, their own qualifications, their own proof of funds, the only difference is instead of putting their remote work or class information, you can upload your DTV as their reason for getting a DTV.

whatever shows that you have a DTV and are related to the applicant
