TLDR : Answer Summary
In Thailand, while you are legally required to inform immigration about where you stay (as per TM30 regulations), many expats state that if you primarily reside at your original address, you may not need to worry about declaring a second apartment. However, it's important to remain cautious as there could be informants.

By law, you're supposed to inform them where do you stay (TM30). In practice, just beware of informants.
