TLDR : Answer Summary
When staying at an Airbnb in Thailand, whether you need to report your residence to immigration depends on the local regulations. Generally, some immigration offices require you to report your stay within 24 hours, especially if it's at a private residence like an Airbnb. It's also important to note where in Thailand you are staying, as different areas may have different requirements.

i went immigration, funny thing i completed the tm30 form only with the business card from the condo, i didn't had to mention the room number anywhere, so what is preventing someone to put any random adress ? 🤔🤨

, IF you never need to go to the immigration office for anything while legally you should do it they wouldn't know if you didn't. It's only at the offices that require the receipt of having done it to use them for an extension etc.

so if i decide for whatever reason to change 4 times condo during my stay, i'd have to go 4 times to the immigration office ? what a hassle..

@Al**
in Pattaya they will make the tenant do it.

it's confusing though because i'm reading it's up to the owner to do it. it's hard to understand something

That could work, book a night, get the receipt and the business card, go in and file for your extension. All it can do is NOT work ;)

i see. i actually filled one last month with the adress of my previous motel, maybe i can pretend i'm still there ? (or book a one night there so i loose 500 instead of 1600 ?)

you aren't gonna get an extension from the immigration office in pattaya if you haven't filed that TM.30 form. :/

i see, what happens if i don't do it and move out of the country at the end of my stay ?
Tod *********
yep you are going to need to do a TM.30 report form at that immigration office. They give you 3 days from the time you move in before they fine you 1600baht for not doing it.

I was asking WHERE in thailand are you staying because some immigration offices want you to go report you're there within 24 hours of staying at a private residence and some don't
