Hello,

I am a bit confused , does children under 10years old need an extension visa ? What are the consequences ? Can they re enter the country later ? Can it impact the tourist visa in an other country if they overstay ? Thank you 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
Children under 15 years old cannot be fined for overstaying in Thailand, and those under 18 cannot be banned from re-entry. Thus, overstaying does not carry negative consequences for them in Thailand. However, it remains unclear if overstaying would affect their eligibility for visas in other countries.

Why would they not have a valid visa?

Children under 15 cannot be fined for overstay and children under 18 cannot be banned

There is no negative repercussion on you or the child to let them overstay, they get out of the country and back in without issue.

Couldn't say at all if an overstay IN thailand would impact them getting a visa for another country (this being the THAI visa advice group) sorry

only thing is once they're on overstay they couldn't get a visa issued in country at the immigration office (like if you were to enroll them in school and want to put them on an ED visa or something) they'd have to exit/re-enter to get OFF the overstay and on to a new entry stamp to do that
