TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires whether both spouses need to hold B800,000 each in the bank for their retirement visa in Thailand, or if the wife can enter on a dependent visa. The responses clarify that the wife can indeed join the user on a dependent visa, which does not require her to have the same bank balance as the primary applicant.

Sorry, but we are not going to list every possible scenario here. OP needs to check the requirements at the location where they want to apply for their visa first. Thank you, everyone.

Canadian on the same visa, we applied separately for the visa from Canada. When we extended last year I needed a marriage certificate notarized by my embassy, my wife didn't need her own proof of funds and was considered 'following' me on my visa.

Great thanks for your help

Both of you do not need the 800k if she receives a visa as a dependent.

so I would need to have B800,000 so my wife as a dependent don't need any financial requirements. Can she apply as a dependent online in our home country thanks for your help

She could apply online in your home country and no financial requirements needed as a dependent. Ellie Takei below has posted a summary of the various retirement options

You can do either. Check the summarised info as attached, and check the detailed requirements for your possible options first on the website of the Thai embassy/consulate or immigration office where you want to apply at.
