Can my partner and child be included as dependants on my DTV visa application if we are not married?

This question has made me wonder if dependants need to get a criminal records check

The child can get a DTV as a dependent, your partner cannot be your dependent because you are not married. Even as a dependent, your child will need their own separate application and your partner will need a completely independent application. You will need 500k for each member held in a bank account for not less than 3 months

I would think the police might want to have a word with you first? How is that legal

Everyone needs to submit an independent application, your partner is not your spouse and so cannot apply under the dependant category, but your child can if you have your name on their birth certificate.

If you are on the birth certificate the kid can apply as a dependant. Your partner would need to qualify and apply independently as you are not married

The child could likely obtain a dependent visa (assuming you’re listed as the parent) but you need to be legally married first your partner to obtain a dependent visa.

I believe your child can but that partners must show a marriage license
