DTV approved today in Vientiane - me & my partner took the same kinds of paperwork, however at the initial document check he was advised by the officer he needed to show 3 months worth of statements with 500k, however I only showed 2 months to the officer I saw and it was no problem. Appears to be luck of the draw of the officer on the day...

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user successfully obtained their DTV in Vientiane, but noted a discrepancy in document requirements. While both they and their partner submitted similar paperwork, their partner was asked to provide 3 months of financial statements showing 500k, whereas the user only needed to show 2 months. This indicates potential inconsistencies in how the application is processed by consulate officers.
