Need Help with DTV Visa Application (Including Wife & Child)

Hi everyone,

I plan to apply for the DTV visa in Vientiane and want to include my wife and child in the application. I meet the financial requirements to support them, but I’m confused about the process and how to apply for them alongside my own application.

You can't. Main applicant has to be approved first before applying for dependants because they need a copy of your DTV. Your wife and child application can be done under your username and at the same time. Expect at least a few weeks for the whole family to be completed

Prepare to spend about 3 weeks in Laos. You can submit applications for your spouse and dependent children from your evisa account once you have your DTV approved. Vietnam application will likely save you a lot more time

Before when it was walk up consulates and you applied in person you could do them all at once

BUT now that it's online at all consulates as a general rule you need your DTV approved to show why your wife and child qualify for the "spouse/children" category.

Meaning you apply, wait for it to be approved, then you apply for your wife and child with your DTV and the proof you used
