I am from Luxembourg, planning my 22nd stay in Thailand. But this year is complicated. I booked Jan. 9 to March 14th, means 65 days. can I come without Visa and go to Immigration after 43 - 44 days for 30 days extension? Somebody told me, this is only valid for a stay of 60 days, or do I have to change my stay to 60 days. Making Visa is too complicated for me. Thank you for your help

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user from Luxembourg is planning a 65-day stay in Thailand and is inquiring whether they can enter without a visa and apply for a 30-day extension at immigration. Responses clarify that they can enter on a visa exemption which allows a 45-day stay, and they can apply for a 30-day extension for 1900 Thai baht at an immigration office. It's also noted that applying for the extension early is acceptable, and some immigration offices may vary in their policies on when to apply.
Just so you know. There's no penalty in applying for your extension early, as the additional days, for this extension will be added to your existing stamp until date. Depending on your immigration office (determined by where you are staying) they will issue an extension with 30 or less days remaining on your stamp, others can be less accommodating and will only issue extensions closer to your stamp date. Check with your local IO once here, but there's no need to wait to the last day or so.
You can also make an appointment online for most offices, which helps speed the process. 1900THB is the fee.
I would contact your airline to make sure they’re going to allow you to board the plane. Some airlines will not allow you to board without proof of onward travel out of Thailand within the initial 45 days.
Note... If they require you to 'have a ticket' that ticket doesn't need to be a ticket home. Just 'out of Thailand' and they can be booked with fully refundable tickets etc...
