Can I re-enter Thailand with a Visa Exemption and get an extension after a previous stay?

Hi Experts, I entered the Kingdom with the Visa Exemption (German Passport) on the 4th Nov 22 and left on the 13th Dec 22 (40days). I want to come back next week and enter again with the Visa Exemption for 45 days (should not be a issue), will they grant me the extension for another 45days? I´m thinking since 1 year about the Elite Visa and it seems to be the only option not to be worried about this kind of issues (Age 38, Digital Nomad not qualified for the LT Visa).

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the possibility of re-entering Thailand on a Visa Exemption after a previous 40-day stay and whether they could get a 45-day extension upon re-entry. Fellow community members clarified that upon entering with a Visa Exemption, they could only obtain a 30-day extension for a fee of 1900 baht. They also discussed the limitations of the Thai Elite Visa and recommended considering alternatives like the METV (Multiple Entry Tourist Visa) for longer stays. Some commenters warned about potential scrutiny from immigration officers due to frequent entries.

And IMHO you should follow through with your planned obtaining the Thai Elite Visa ...

In your prior post of December 19th in 2021..you stated...

"Thx all! I will change soon to the Elite Visa to get a proper Visa, but they told me they can’t do this now in this short time"

And as you have been in Thailand during COVID-19 with use of many Visa exempt entry, extensions and COVID extensions... Be prepared for questions from Thai Immigration Officers upon arrival into Thailand... WHY DO COME TO THAILAND SO MANY TIMES ?

if I were you, I would have obtained the METV multiple entry tourist visa to enter Thailand .. with planning it can get you up to 9 months stay in Thailand with a couple simple land border runs.

What ever you do is your decision, I just pointed it out as that visa is very expensive and could be a total waste of money if the sh... hits the fan.

And even the Thai Elite Visa, which is based on tourism does not allow you to work inside Thailand.

You need a Visa that allows you to work and a Work Permit to work inside Thailand.

Bite the bullit and become legit or keep on playing games with Immigration and keep asking if you are allowed back into the country to take care your left behind belongings.

you can get ONE 30 day extension on each visa exempt entry

so come in visa exempt for 45 days and you can get ONE 30 day extension for 1900baht
Lloyd ********
the extension will only be for 30 days

Thx Lloyd, but you think I´m still qualified for the extension? I read something about max 90 days in 6 months and this would be 115 days.
