Hello,
I am flying to Thailand on December 6th, return flight on March 4th. I planned to get a 2 months visa and later an extension but now I read about 45 days visa exemption stamps and somewhere I read that the extensions to them given at the immigration offices are also now extended from 30 to 45 days which gives 90 days in total. Just what I need. Is it too good to be true though? I will very much appreciate your advice. Polish passport.
Another option - Can I come on visa exemption on Dec 6th having return flight on March 4th assuming that I will do border run to Lao for another 45 days? Will it be accepted by the immigration at BKK airport?
Thank you so much in advance
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about entering Thailand on a visa exemption, initially planning for 2 months but considering the recent updates allowing for a 45-day entry and a potential extension. Several comments clarify that upon arrival with a polish passport, the user will receive a 45-day visa exemption stamp and can extend it for another 30 days at a local immigration office for a fee, totaling 75 days. A suggestion for a border run was discussed as a method to gain additional days.
