TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you can extend your 45-day visa exempt entry by an additional 30 days, and this is currently a standard process. Several users have reported quick and hassle-free experiences with extensions, typically costing around 1900 baht and taking only about 10 minutes. However, it is important to note that this extended visa exempt entry will revert back to the original 30 days after September 30th. Make sure your accommodation is registered with immigration to avoid any potential issues.

Remember right now the extended visa exempt entry (45 days) is set to run out on Sept 30th, and then it will go back to 30 days like it was.

BUT

There is abso-tively, posi-lutely no issues getting the 30 day regular extension on a visa exempt entry..

You can get one 30 day extension, yes. After that you're at the mercy of the unable to travel due to covid extension or finding another way to prolong your stay here if you choose to do so.

I believe you can mate. Make sure the hotel you staying at has registered you with the immigration ( incase they check ) but from what i have heard, its quite a hassle free process these days.
