TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring whether their financial status meets the requirements for Thailand's Digital Nomad Visa (DTV), citing $100,000 in their home bank and 1 million baht in a Thai bank while attending Muay Thai classes without employment. Various comments discuss the necessity of reading official requirements, share personal experiences related to visa applications, and underscore the importance of having appropriate documentation and legal training arrangements.
Everyone says you dumb for not reading the requirements. But it's a good question. Because everyone doesn't realize that embassies can add random requirements at the spot if they want to.
In my case , I applied for the DTV in Taiwan category medical treatment. And being rich was not enough for them. I had to show what my job was . So I showed them my crypto portfolio and trades and told them I was an investor.
I do invest in crypto and luckily I had many transactions coming in and out so it was easy to prove. Not sure I would have been approved without showing that though
As long as the gym you are training at is legally licensed, and provides you with a letter stating you are taking regular classes with then, together with your bank statement showing your bt500,000+ balance for the last 6 months, to cover the requirements of any country surrounding Thailand you go to to apply for the DTV visa. They all don't want 6 months of bank balance, but a few do. Those things are all you need, together with your passport of course.
