TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual is inquiring about the financial requirement for a 60-day visa application in Laos, specifically asking if they need to have had 20,000 THB in their bank account for three months, or if they can add the amount now, considering most of their funds are in their partner's account and they are not married.

It says 40k as a family but we're not married so unsure how they'd class us

then obviously you need to apply individually. You need to ask the Embassy, if they will make an exception or not.
