Hello. I have a tm30 for my place of residence in Chiang Mai. I’d like to apply for a Covid amnesty extension this week only I’m in Bangkok right now. Would I need a new tm30 if I apply here or can I use the one I already have? Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about applying for a Covid amnesty extension in Bangkok while having a TM30 for their residence in Chiang Mai. They question whether they need a new TM30 for the application or can use the existing one. Responses clarify that, although the TM30 can be used for the extension request, it must correspond with the address served by the Bangkok immigration office. Additionally, it is advised that an 'under consideration' stamp will be issued, requiring the user to return to finalize the extension process.

And when you are asked for TM30 receipt, it has to be the address in the area that immigration office serves. You cannot use CM address to do something at the Bangkok immigration office.

Thanks, that clarifies things.

1. There is no such thing as a COVID Amnesty Extension. It's a 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19.

2. If your property owner submitted a TM30, you can use that to apply for a 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19. However, they do issue an "under consideration" stamp, and you will have to return to the immigration office to close it out in BANGKOK.
